Third nationwide Mapuj Pomoc information campaign

This autumn, the Mapuj Pomoc team carried out another awareness campaign. We prepared a series of leaflets to help refugees from Ukraine. The leaflets redirect you to an interactive map on the Mapuj Pomoc platform, where you can find various forms of support throughout Poland. Our initiative was aimed at relieving aid points of the burden of their daily work and supporting refugees in finding a specific type of assistance.

The course of campaign

The Mapuj Pomoc leaflet campaign took place over the course of September, October and November. We visited a total of more than 70 aid points in Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Poznań, Łódź, Rzeszów, Przemyśl, Katowice, Sosnowiec, Gliwice, Bytom, Lublin and Chełm, handing out a total of almost 10,000 leaflets.

On the occasion of our visits to the points, we made direct contact with representatives of aid organisations, provided information about our activities and learned about the current challenges of the support points and the needs of refugees. We also conducted short questionnaires asking, among other things, about sources of information on available assistance and the most urgent needs.

Survey results

  1. What sources do you use to get information about current forms of support for Ukrainian refugees?

2. What types of assistance for Ukrainian refugees do you think are currently most needed?

Among the needs of refugees, the most frequently mentioned were: assistance in finding work and retraining, housing support, financial support, medical assistance, assistance for the elderly, those with chronic illnesses and disabilities, psychological and psychiatric assistance, intercultural assistants, free Polish language courses (especially at a higher level than A1 or A2).

We also learned what we, as the Mapuj Pomoc team, can improve to make our platform even more functional and our activities useful for users. We appreciate all your feedback and comments.

Due to time and logistical constraints, we were not able to reach all the aid points we would have liked to visit. We are therefore continuing the campaign by sending interested organisations our leaflets in Ukrainian. If you would like to receive the Mapuj Pomoc leaflets, please write to [email protected]. Also, feel invited to download the flyer below and use it freely.
