How to use the map?
Mapuj Pomoc is the largest, nationwide web portal where Ukrainian refugees can find various forms of support (MAP) and the most important advice and guidance (INFO HUB). It is a service where organisations and institutions can inform where and to what extent they offer assistance. To participate, all you have to do is set up an individual ACCOUNT add a service point. The portal is a valuable tool for all kinds of volunteers, reception centers and information desk workers, as well as other people who have direct contact with Ukrainian refugees on a daily basis.
Who can create an account on Mapuj Pomoc?
In the portal, the following can set up an account, among others:
- NGOs,
- institutions,
- reception centers,
- educational institutions,
- local aid centers,
- community centers,
- night shelters,
- companies
supporting refugees from Ukraine. In other words, Mapuj Pomoc brings together any and all organized relief efforts.
What about individual assistance initiatives?
We do not provide information on individual assistance activities in the portal. If you want to help people in need, e.g. by offering your services as a cultural or language assistant, doctor, lawyer, driver, etc. – browse our MAP and find an appropriate facility, where you can offer your services.
How do I create an organization account on the portal and put myself on the map?
Registration on MapujPomoc.pl is simple and intuitive. All you need to do is:
- go to the REGISTER page,
- fill in the basic data and accept the terms and conditions.
After creating an account, you will be allowed to add a service point. To do this, you need to:
- go to the tab entitled ADD A SERVICE POINT
You can detail where, to whom and to what extent your support is offered. By doing so you make your activities known – both to those in need, as well as to larger humanitarian aid organizations. There are many different types of help included on the map, both material assistance (food, personal hygiene products, clothes, medicine, etc.), as well as service assistance (psychological support, language support, accommodation, transportation, etc.).
You can describe your activities, add a link to your website and put your aid center on the map.
NOTE: Any newly added service point will appear in the “My Account” tab and on the map only after it has been approved by the administrator. Approval of the service point can take up to 24 hours.
Can I edit service points and how many can I add?
There is no limit to the number of service points that can be added if an organization operates in more than one location or implements different aid projects. Editing them is not only possible, but advisable. This will keep all the information up-to-date and thus more useful.
How do I use Mapuj Pomoc?
If you are a volunteer, a reception center worker or if you simply want to check the available forms of support for refugees, go to the MAP tab. That is your main source of information. Specify your particular needs by selecting an aid category (e.g. psychological support, legal aid, health care, etc.). You can browse assistance centers by specifying a province, town, type of facility or using key words. You can also choose the age group and check which service points offer support for people from vulnerable groups. If you need information about available helplines or web portals, check the “Mode of operation” filter. A list of relevant service points will appear below and their locations will be marked on the map.
