The Society pursues its statutory objectives through:
1) cooperation with public authorities, government administration, local governments, churches, religious associations, institutions and non-governmental organizations, with employers and the mass media,
2) implementation of tasks in the field of education, social welfare, culture, ecology and in other fields on its own initiative, commissioned or entrusted to the Society by public entities,
3) expressing opinions and positions on problems and solutions falling within the goals and tasks of the Society, giving opinions on legal acts concerning children,
4) promoting and organizing social advocacy for children’s rights, intervening in children’s affairs, representing the interests of the child and family – with their consent before: schools, childcare centers, courts and other institutions, within the limits allowed by law,
5) Providing parents with assistance in child care, upbringing, education treatment, rehabilitation and therapy of children, initiating social movements of parents and family support persons,
6) Providing assistance and support to foster and adoptive parents and to emancipated alumni of foster care and foster families,
7) organizing and carrying out specialized forms of assistance, upbringing, care, education, social and vocational rehabilitation and emancipation of a disabled and chronically ill child; if necessary, also after reaching adulthood,
8) carrying out education and other activities in the field of social prevention, including addiction, in particular alcoholism and drug addiction,
9) dissemination of education related to traffic safety,
10) development of children’s self-government and parliamentarism; organization of self-governing children’s groups, assemblies and other children’s actions,
11) organization of the educational environment in the place of residence of the child, management of free time and mid-year and holiday recreation for children, dissemination of sports and recreation, sightseeing, ecology,
12) initiation, support and promotion of children’s artistic creativity and its presentation during competitions, artistic reviews, festivals, festivals, etc..,
13) organization of activities for European integration and development of contacts and cooperation between societies,
14) organization of conferences, seminars, training, instruction, methodological assistance, development and dissemination of socio-pedagogical programs enriching work for children and raising the pedagogical culture of society,
15) initiating and conducting research work related to the development of the child, studying the needs of children and identifying opportunities to meet them, using the results of research conducted by other entities,
16) conducting organizational, educational and children’s publications promoting the activities of TPD,
17) organization of international cooperation, exchange of experience, dissemination of the Society’s achievements, pedagogical thought and practice,
18) raising and collecting material resources and funds for the statutory activities of the Society, conducting charitable activities.
