Diia.pl – electronic document for refugees from Ukraine

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration announced a few days ago that “Poland has notified the European Commission of the electronic document available to refugees from Ukraine – Diia.pl. It is a document confirming their legal stay on Polish territory and allows them to travel within the European Union, as well as to cross its external borders. This is the first fully digital residence permit in the European Union. After official notification, this electronic document, held by a citizen of Ukraine or another foreigner (whose stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland is recognized as legal under the Law on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict on the Territory of that State), fulfills the role of a residence permit used, together with a valid travel document, to cross the external border of the EU. Moreover, it allows movement within the Schengen area for 90 days within each 180-day period.” (source: https://bit.ly/3zDgki8)
