At the end of the year, we’re not short on good news. Recently, we informed you that Mapuj Pomoc was honored with the UN Global Compact Network Poland award, and today we’re sharing more news with you. The president of our foundation and the initiator of the Mapuj Pomoc initiative, Monika Miłowska, has become a member of the Advisory Group of the NGO Forum “Razem” [ang. Togehter]. She was also elected to the board of the Zagranica Group!
Mapuj Pomoc’s Voice in the NGO Sector
On December 13, 2023, the second round of elections to the Advisory Group of the NGO Forum “Razem” concluded. Monika Miłowska joined the candidates selected in the first round. We are immensely pleased that this not only recognizes the knowledge and experience of our president but also the Mapuj Pomoc initiative. The Advisory Group is completed by representatives of international, Polish, local organizations, and those managed by refugees. This group also includes: Joanna Kucharczyk-Jurgielewicz (Ashoka in Poland), Neil Brighton (The Norwegian Refugee Council), Agnieszka Kosowicz (Polish Migration Forum), Igor Lisin (Ukraine Foundation), Agata Czarniawska (Polish Humanitarian Action), Marcin Kurnik (Q Foundation), and Celina Kretkowska-Adamowicz (Save the Children International). Congratulations to all members of the Group!

Na czele federacji dążącej do współpracy rozwojowej
29 grudnia 2023 roku odbyło się także nadzwyczajne walne zebranie członków Grupy Zagranica, czyli federacji polskich organizacji pozarządowych (obecnie 59) zaangażowanych w międzynarodową współpracę rozwojową, wspieranie demokracji, pomoc humanitarną i edukację globalną. Podczas spotkania wybrano dwie nowe osoby do zarządu federacji: Annę Płotek ze Stowarzyszenia Leczymy z Misją oraz Monikę Miłowską z Mapuj Pomoc. To kolejny sukces, który przynosi wielką satysfakcję. Fakt, że pomysłodawczyni i przedstawicielka naszej inicjatywy będzie wspierać tak ważną sieć organizacji, jest niezwykle budujący.

Recognition and Appreciation of Mapuj Pomoc
This year was full of challenges for us, but we are ending it with the awareness that our initiative has gained recognition not only at the national but also at the international level. Its role in the NGO sector has become key, and the inclusion of Monika Miłowska in the Advisory Group of the NGO Forum “Together” and the board of the Zagranica Group are proofs of the significant impact of Mapuj Pomoc in the field of activities for refugees and migrants.
