Wolontariat w punkcie recepcyjnym w Krakowie – Stowarzyszenie MUDITA | Mudita Association – Krakow
We are an association supporting families of people with disabilities. Since the beginning of the war, we have been actively involved in helping refugees with disabilities and special needs, for whom escape is a particularly difficult challenge. Various types of barriers, an undefined destination, the need for medical care and other factors mean that some families decide not to leave the country or are forced to leave their immobile relatives.
In response to these problems, we have opened reception points adapted to the needs of people with various types of disabilities and chronic diseases. These are temporary stays, primarily for people who have just arrived in Poland. Families receive shelter, food and care in them, as well as the support of staff and volunteers in finding final accommodation (in Poland or abroad), taking into account their specific needs. In addition, we help in meeting the current needs of beneficiaries, such as finding a doctor, obtaining a PESEL number or appropriate benefits for people with disabilities.
Each of the points has 40 beds, 2 rehabilitation beds, toilets and bathrooms adapted to people in wheelchairs, a playroom for children, as well as a room for rest and relaxation.
