Assistance for refugees from Ukraine is provided within the Regional Centre for Victims of Crime in Białystok, run by the Amicus Society under the Justice Fund.
The Centres employ many specialists, psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists, lawyers and specialists in other fields. In addition, victims receive extensive material support.
Refugees who have entered Poland since 24.02.2022 can receive help immediately:
- Legal assistance,
- Psychological, psychiatric and therapeutic assistance,
- Assistance of an translator, including a sign interpreter,
- Covering the costs of health services and medical devices,
- Covering the costs of purchasing food or food vouchers,
- Covering the costs of purchasing clothing, underwear, footwear, cleaning and hygiene products,
- Financing of periodical subsidies to current obligations for housing,
- Covering the costs of organizing and participating in training and courses to improve professional qualifications,
- Covering the costs of temporary accommodation or shelter,
- Covering the costs of temporary accommodation and care for children, including in crèches and children’s clubs run by the municipality,
