Po polsku po Polsce – platforma e-learningowa | Around Poland In Polish – e-learning platform
The “Po polsku po Polsce” (Around Poland In Polish) project is a joint initiative of two units associated with Jagiellonian University: Jagiellonian University Students and Alumni Foundation “Bratniak” (applicant and dispatcher of funds) and the Center for Polish Language and Culture in the World.
The e-learning platform includes a course in Polish as a foreign language for beginners (level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: learning, teaching, assessment). The language course has been planned as a virtual journey around Poland – from arriving in Warsaw, walking around the Tri-City, sailing in the Mazurian Lake District, hiking in the Bieszczady Mountains, meeting the Kashubians, a weekend in Wroclaw, to a stay in Krakow and trips to many other interesting places in Poland. We get to know the subsequent regions together with the characters of the language course – a Polish-Italian family residing permanently in New York. By locating the language activities in different regions of Poland, the user simultaneously acquires linguistic knowledge and learns about characters and places important to Polish history and tradition – from the most famous to the completely unusual. The linguistic material provided with a cultural context makes the language course more interesting and allows the introduction of language material for authentic communication in Polish in everyday communication situations.
