History, mission, vision

The History

In March 2022, shortly after the escalation of the war in Ukraine, the To Proste Foundation launched the Mapuj Pomoc portal. Its aim was to provide reliable information about available forms of support for refugees arriving in Poland. The portal collected and verified information about various forms of support (including legal, psychological, food, and housing assistance). A team of employees and volunteers meticulously selected and updated all data, ensuring their credibility and usefulness.

It quickly became clear that Mapuj Pomoc was not only a tool for those seeking help but also a platform supporting non-governmental organizations and public institutions, enabling more effective coordination of actions, knowledge exchange, and cooperation with both local and international partners.

Building the Network

In September 2022, the To Proste Foundation started building the Intersectoral Information Network Mapuj Pomoc. Organizations using the platform were invited to participate in the first meetings, which initiated systematic exchange of experiences and joint actions on a larger scale.

Although the formal regulations of the Network were adopted only after two years, its activities were intensive from the very beginning. By 2024, more than 50 meetings had been held, attended by over 300 organizations from across Poland. Network members published articles, organized workshops, and shared knowledge, strengthening intersectoral cooperation.

Future Strategy

In 2024, the To Proste Foundation took steps to further develop the Mapuj Pomoc Network. Thanks to the support of the Ashoka organization through the Tutaj Fund, qualitative research was conducted to better understand the needs of organizations and users of the portal. Based on this, in collaboration with Network members, a new action strategy and a set of regulations outlining future development directions were developed.

Today, Mapuj Pomoc is a platform that connects non-governmental organizations and public institutions to facilitate effective cooperation for people in various crises. Through interactive maps, the project supports not only refugees and migrants but also individuals affected by violence, flood victims, and other groups in need of assistance. The Network enables coordination of actions, information exchange, and the effective implementation of joint aid initiatives.

Mission of the Network

The Mapuj Pomoc Network connects social organizations, public institutions, and volunteer groups, enabling faster and more effective exchange of information and resources in response to the needs of people in crisis. The mission of the Network is to support cooperation between these entities to make assistance more organized, coordinated, and accessible where it is most needed.
Through collaboration within the Network, organizations can share knowledge, experience, and resources, allowing for faster and more effective responses to crises and long-term social challenges. The Network emphasizes flexibility, trust, and innovative solutions that support the development of the aid sector and enable efficient responses to dynamically changing needs.

Together, we are building stronger and more integrated foundations of support.
