With experience in providing aid in Ukraine dating back to 2014, the foundation was able to implement aid procedures almost immediately. PCPM for Ukraine and refugees undertakes a number of activities. These include:
– launching a permanent fundraising to help the people of Ukraine at pcpm.org.pl/ukraina
– sending regular shipments of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, including: sanitary supplies, medical equipment, food
– together with the US organization CARE and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), the general and special cash assistance program for refugees ”Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance program” (MPCAP) and ”Targeted-Purpose Cash Assistance Program” (TCAP). A second project for incapacitated refugees (pregnant women, with young children, people with disabilities and their carers, pensioners over 60)
– in partnership with the NRC organisation, running a transit point for Ukrainian refugees at the Warszawa Wschodnia railway station, where several hundred people arrive daily and several dozen receive medical assistance
– launching two PCPM Educational and Creative Centres (CEK) in Warsaw for mothers with children from Ukraine. The first centre works in cooperation with mBank, the second CEK operates in a facility provided by the Association of Polish Architects (SARP)
– arranging medical transports for the most people in need
