Coordination of volunteers
From the beginning of the war, we managed to create a database of 7,000 applications from potential volunteers. About 3,000 of them were involved in the activities of the Ukraine Foundation in the field of translations, assistance in the resettlement of refugees, psychological assistance, counseling, childcare and assistance with a humanitarian warehouse. We would like to thank everyone for their time, help and support – we are all working towards achieving a common goal – the victory of Ukraine💙💛

The Ukraine Foundation has become an organization appointed by the voivode to coordinate activities at PKP Wrocław. In cooperation with the Lower Silesian Voivode, support was provided for volunteers at information and reception points at the Main Railway Station and in dormitories for refugees.

Information support

Advising migrants on legalization and adaptation has always been one of the key activities of the Ukraine Foundation. Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, our Institute for Migrant Rights immediately adapted to advising displaced persons and increasing the number of visitors. We thank the volunteers who helped us answer the phone and conduct consultations for refugees. In March, employees of the Information Point of the Institute of Migrant Rights provided information support to over 2,900 people, namely:
252 e-mail consultations were provided
1608 telephone consultations were conducted
680 stationary consultations were provided
368 information tips were given on social networks

Collection of funds for medical and tactical assistance for Ukraine
Within a month, thanks to you, our partners and donors, we managed to collect over PLN 3,329,000, which were spent on medicines, first aid kits, military equipment, thermal imaging devices, drones and other necessary tactical items for the Ukrainian army and hospitals.

Partner events
From February 24, 2022, more than 20 charity events took place under the patronage of the Ukraine Foundation, during which PLN 62,748.82 was collected and transferred to the account of the SAVE UKRAINE action.

Collection and shipping of humanitarian aid
From the beginning of February to the end of March, we collected and shipped over 800 pallets of humanitarian aid with food, hygiene products, clothing, medicines and tactical equipment. 33 vehicles with humanitarian aid were sent to Lviv, Uzhhorod, Kharkiv, Kiev, Rivne, Sum, Kowal, Khmelnytsky, Berdyczów, Zhytomyr, Nikolaev, Vinnitsa, Teplodar, Chernihiv, Bojarka, Goszcz, Dnieper, Zaozie, Kulykivka and Browary. As part of the action, we also secured humanitarian aid for the reception point at the PKP Wrocław Główny railway station. Body lotions, shaving kits, shampoos, toothbrushes, soaps, personal hygiene products, wet wipes and bowls for animals for PLN 19,064.42 were purchased. Also thanks to a subsidy of PLN 100,000 euro for refugees in Lower Silesia from the Saxony State, our team has already started purchasing the necessary things to equip the refugee residence centers in Świdnica, Oława, Wałbrzych and Jelcz-Laskowice

Thanks to joint efforts, approximately 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid for people affected by the war were delivered to Ukrainian cities. The districts of Kharkiv, Kiev, Zaporizhia and Lugansk have already received aid. Humanitarian aid railways sent aid from Poland, Germany, Ireland and Switzerland. The railway corridor has become an important means of humanitarian aid to those in need.
