The Healthy and Active Senior Center is a project of the City Hall of Łódź, aimed at social activation of older people in their place of residence. The main goal of the project is health education and promoting healthy and active aging. The idea behind the project is to establish points in city clinics that will simultaneously serve as educational, recreational, health-promoting, and social meeting places, as well as internet cafes and lounges. The Center was also established to integrate Polish and Ukrainian seniors.
The Healthy and Active Senior Centers have rooms equipped with computers, projectors, and infrastructure for the needs of lectures, workshops, computer classes, or sports and recreational activities. Seniors can use the rooms free of charge if they want to share their passions or skills with others.
