The Town of Wieliczka, together with the Community of Samaritan Brothers and Samaritan Sisters, and with the support of the inhabitants of Grabie and the surrounding area, have created an Assistance Centre for Ukraine in Grabie, where people fleeing Ukraine as a result of the hostilities on its territory have found shelter. It is one of the largest Assistance Centres for Ukraine in Małopolska. The site also collects humanitarian aid, which is then sent to Ukraine. A kindergarten and school for Ukrainian children, launched by the municipality, has been operating at the Centre since 2022.
