„Warsaw University for Ukraine” (a component of the Third Mission project of the Faculty of Neophilology at the University of Warsaw) is a programme that aims to support refugees from Ukraine arriving in Poland after 24 February 2022. The ‘University of Warsaw for Ukraine’ programme is interdisciplinary and brings together as many as 19 different activities, implemented by staff from 21 UW units. It is planned to train a minimum of 3,000 people.
The programme will include various activities aimed at supporting refugees from Ukraine:
Polish as a foreign language courses
English language courses
courses in other languages (Portuguese, French, Spanish, German, Italian)
career planning and professional activation workshops
multi-generational adaptive city walks in Warsaw
psychological workshops and support
workshops on entrepreneurship
workshops on „how to learn effectively”
adaptation meetings for children and young people
experimental natural science workshops
computer courses (Excel, Word, Power Point, basic programming)
webinars to support carers, educators and trainers involved in helping children from Ukraine
legal support for migrants (workshops + consultations)
intensive preparatory course for studies or work in Polish
competence adjustment of highly qualified migrants
open lectures combined with workshops
concluding conference with awarding of certificates
Support for people from Ukraine, translators, language assistance
IT support for the e-learning platform.
