Numer Alarmowy 112 | Emergency number 112
- 4 June 2025
112 is a free emergency number available throughout the European Union.
It can be used to call for help in situations where the life, health, property or safety of persons or third parties is at risk, as well as in situations of urgent threat to the environment or public order.
The main role of 112 is to enable the rapid notification of the relevant emergency services, such as the medical ambulance service, fire brigade and police.
The Ministry of the Interior and Administration has launched the Alarm112 mobile application for sending emergency notifications to the Rescue Notification Centre.
The Alarm112 mobile application makes it possible, in a situation of danger to life, health, property, the environment, security and public order, to transmit an emergency call to the Rescue Notification Centre, by persons who cannot make a voice call, in particular deaf and hard of hearing persons.
In Alarm112, it is possible, by selecting the appropriate pictograms, to identify the type and location of the incident and to indicate the service whose assistance is required. The information provided in this way enables the Emergency Number Operator to forward the incident to the emergency services appropriate to the type and location of the incident. To use the Alarm112 mobile application, download the application and register.
