Caritas of Warmia Archdiocese was established in 1989. Since then we have been carrying out charitable and humanitarian work to meet spiritual and material needs of people, stemming from the evangelical commandment of love, bearing in mind the dignity of every human being regardless of their religion, beliefs, nationality, race and convictions.
At present we run:
– soup kitchens in Olsztyn and Frombork,
– care and therapeutic community centres in Górów Iławecki, Korszach, Lidzbark Warmiński,
– Crisis Intervention Centre in Olsztyn,
– Office for Activation of the Unemployed in Bartoszyce,
– Archdiocesan Youth Centre in Frombork,
– Medical Care Stations in Olsztyn, Nidzica, Pieniężno, Górowo Iławeckie,
– Single Mother’s Home in Braswałda,
– Family Children’s Homes in Nidzica and Braniewo.
We also coordinate the activities of 60 Parish Caritas Teams and 62 School Caritas Circles in the whole archdiocese.
