UPAW (Ukrainian Pet Association Worldwide) is the first community in Ukraine that implements innovative management in the field of animal welfare.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have launched the “Tailed Hostages of War” project, within the framework of which we provide humanitarian aid to pet parents, caregivers, volunteers, and shelters in areas close to hostilities.

We help everyone: shelters and organizations, military dogs, guardian volunteers (who do not have registered shelters or NGOs), KSU kennels, ordinary animal owners. UPAW cooperates with the majority of Ukrainian animal protection organizations, animal associations of Ukraine and state authorities.

Areas of activity:

• Crisis – We deliver humanitarian aid to the crisis regions, namely: pet food, veterinary drugs, other daily animal care products, equipment for veterinary clinics, etc.
• Legislative – We are convinced that the improvement of legislation in the field of animal welfare is an important element of the European integration of Ukraine. We study the best practices to bring Ukrainian legislation closer to EU law.
• Educational – The educational area of activity of UPAW involves strengthening of specialized narrow-focused educational programs for veterinarians, as well as developing a knowledge base for animal protection organizations in Ukraine and all interested parties.
• Infrastruktural – We have ready-made solutions to create the necessary infrastructure across the country, municipalities, and animal shelters. Our goal is the well-being of both companion animals and homeless paws.
