Description of activities

  • After February 24, all concerts at Światłownia in Bydgoszcz are held under the slogan: Solidarity with Ukraine. We have established a help center for Blind and visually impaired friends from Ukraine. We help arrange accommodation and meals. Our volunteers support refugees during their stay in Bydgoszcz. They arrange the necessary documents with them, including PESEL or a Polish certificate of disability. As far as possible, we provide blind refugees with white canes, sound-enabled electronic equipment, including iPhones and computers with sound. Our psychologist also helps blind refugees. From August 2022, we are organizing a Polish language course for refugees from Ukraine. As far as possible, we support the refugees with clothes and food.
