SDK “Sunflower” was established as a crisis center of solidarity and support in the first days after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Currently, it functions as an open, solidarity, multilingual and multicultural cultural center.

In “Słonecznik” we learn Polish and Ukrainian. We collect medicines and prepare meals. We organize workshops for children, educational activities, meetings with artists and activists. We get to know Ukrainian culture and art. We share stories, experiences and skills. An international think tank dealing with information warfare and contemporary geopolitics, seen from the perspective of Eastern Europe, operates here. Together we are waiting for better times, supporting each other and looking for answers to the question about the role of art institutions during the war.
