We provide free information and legal assistance to people fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine Pro Bono Collaborative is a partnership between ELIL and six international law firms with offices in Poland. The aim of the project is to provide high quality information and legal assistance to refugees arriving from Ukraine to help them obtain temporary protection, answer legal questions and help them navigate legal procedures in Poland.

Pro-bono lawyers work in closed, confidential offices in four locations – WCPR, the reception centre on Modlinska Street, the Ukrainian House and the Labour Office on Marszalkowska Street. Lawyers receive refugees seeking legal support and provide initial legal information, assistance and advice on a variety of topics related to temporary protection and Polish law (such as refugee rights, child custody, legalisation of documents, etc.) More complex cases are referred to specialised lawyers.

We work closely with key humanitarian organisations in Poland and clients are also referred to us from UNHCR or UNICEF. We also work closely with the National Chamber of Legal Advisers.
